Air Release Valve: Val-Matic Air Release AWWA Valves mounted at high points within your piping system will remove all pockets of air as they accumulate. They provide an inexpensive and positive method of preventing those difficulties that naturally occur when air is entrained in a water transmission line. In addition, their superior design, workmanship, and stainless steel trim will provide you with a quality valve, one which will give many years of maintenance free and trouble free operation.

Air Release Valve: Wastewater Air Release Valves are designed to release accumulated air from a piping system while the system is in operation and under pressure. The capacity and pressure rating of the valve is dependent on the diameter of the precision orifice in the cover. A large inlet connection is required for proper air and water exchange.

Specifically designed for grit and sewage service without the need for backwashing when combined with fusion bonded epoxy slick coatings
Bodies are extended in length with a sloped bottom to prevent solid material from reaching the operating mechanism
Floats are equipped with a specially shaped bottom to accelerate the closure to reduce leakage and clogging of the valve
Available in light weight all stainless steel construction to eliminate corrosion
Air/Vacuum Valve: Air / Vacuum Valves perform two important functions when mounted at high points on pipelines. First of all, they allow large quantities of air within the line to be exhausted as that line is being filled. When the air has been vented and the fluid level reaches the air / vacuum valve, the float rises and seals tightly against a synthetic seat. Secondly, in the event of the line being drained, either intentionally or through a fracture in the system, the air / vacuum valve responds to the loss of pressure and opens. This allows air to re-enter the pipeline and prevents a potentially damaging vacuum from developing.

Combination Air Valve:The Val-Matic Combination Air Valve performs both the functions of Air Release and Air/Vacuum Valves. The Air Release valve portion vents air which accumulates at high points in a system during its operation. The Air/Vacuum valve portion will exhaust the larger quantities of air present in a system during the filling and allow air to re-enter during draining. They are available in both single body and dual body configuration.

Surge Suppression Air Valve (4"" and Larger): The Anti-Slam Device (4 in. and larger valves) throttles the flow of water into the upper valve chamber after the air has been exhausted to prevent rapid valve closure.
Vacuum Breaker Air Valve: The Vacuum Breaker is the globe style high flow type with a rapid linear opening to automatically admit large quantities of air into a system on negative pressure. An optional Air Release Valve can be directly piped to relieve air under positive pressures.
Well Service Air Valve: Well Service Air Valves are fully automatic float operated valves designed to exhaust air which is present in the pump column on pump startup and allow air to re-enter the column on pump shutdown or if a negative pressure occur. The Dual Port Throttling Device (3 in. and smaller valves) provides adjustable control of the exhaust rate and allows free flow into the valve through a separate inlet port. The Anti-Slam Device (4 in. and larger valves) throttles the flow of water into the upper valve chamber after the air has been exhausted to prevent rapid valve closure.
Inlets and outlets are equal to full nominal pipe area
Dual Port Throttling Device
Adjustable discharge outlet provides regulated air exhaust
Allows air to enter the system on pump shut down through an unrestricted independent vacuum port
Regulated-Exhaust Device
Restrictor disc provides regulated exhaust to limit pump column surges
Ability to adjust air exhaust for greater surge suppression
Provides full vacuum flow port
Vacuum Priming Air Valves: Manufactured under a certified ISO 9001 quality system Available with 2"" inlet Allows the extraction of air from the pump housing and suction piping Float rises and closes the priming valve to prevent fluid from flowing into the vacuum priming system Continues to release air while the pump is running.
Surge Suppression Air Valves: Surge Suppression Air Valves shall be automatic float operated valves designed to control the exhaust of air during the filling of a piping system and close upon liquid entry. The valve shall fully open during draining or if a negative pressure occurs. The valve shall also release accumulated air from a piping system while the system is in operation and under pressure. The valve is equipped with a regulated exhaust device and performs the functions of both Air Release and Air/Vacuum Valves and furnished as a single body or dual body type as indicated on the plans.

Flood Save Inflow Preventer: Protecting water treatment systems from terrorism and environmental contamination is the most urgent issue facing the water industry today. Inflow Prevention is designed to protect dinking water by protecting your pipelines form contaminated water becoming drawn in and mixing with potable water due to pressure changes. Inflow prevention devises are used in areas such as vaults where air valves and reservoir vents are located.
Frost Safe Damper (4"", 6"", 8"", 12""): The FrostSafe®, a wafer style bi-directional hingeless damper, is installed in a vent pipe to minimize the thermal exchange of cold and warm air in and out of a vault to help prevent freezing.
