The GA Industries Figure 25-DXH is a tight seating, non-slam swing check valve with two-stage closure to minimize surges associated with pump shutdown. __The valve is designed to open smoothly on pump start providing full pipeline flow and minimal headoss.At pump shutdown, the counterweight immediately and rapidly drives the valve closed during the initial stage.The hydraulic system is then engaged at a pre-determined point which provides an adjustable final stage closing speed, allowing a controlled amount of reverse flow through the valve to minimize pump shutdown pressure surge.
