GA Industries Figure 517 are standard rectangular port non-lubricated, rubber seated eccentric plug valves with a minimum of 80% port area.The valves fully meet the requirements of AWWA Standard C517 and are typically used for isolation service in sewage and wastewater systems and treatment plants.__The valve's rugged iron body has a weld overlaid corrosion resistant nickel seat.A Buna-N rubber coating is transfer molded and vulcanized to the ductile iron plug.The plug is supported by upper and lower PTFE coated 316 stainless steel bearings that ride in a 316 stainless steel bushing in the body and bonnet.__Figure 517 standard rectangular port plug valves seat tightly up to rated pressure in both directions.__The valve can be actuated by a quarter-turn manual worm gear or an electric motor operator.Operators are selected and sized based on operating conditions, factory mounted on the valve and tested as an assembly.
